Diamond Clarity

When selecting a diamond, clarity plays a crucial role in both its beauty and durability. Inclusions or blemishes can compromise the brilliance of a stone, so it is important to choose wisely. For a diamond that is completely free of eye-visible inclusions, opt for a clarity grade of VS2 or higher. If you are considering diamonds in the D–F color range, clarity grades of VS2 or above are strongly recommended. Diamonds in the G–I color range paired with an SI clarity grade may offer good value, but may not achieve the same level of refinement.

At KIUMARSI, we are committed to excellence. Every piece of jewelry and each wedding ring is designed, crafted, and completed with diamonds of the highest quality to ensure timeless beauty and lasting brilliance.

Diamond Color

When selecting a diamond, color is a key factor that influences both beauty and value. In general, the less color a diamond has, the more desirable it is considered to be. color is graded on a scale from D to Z and is grouped into five main categories:

Colorless (D–F)

Near Colorless (G–J)

Faint (K–M)

Very Light (N–R)

Light (S–Z)

While diamonds can occur in a wide spectrum of colors, the most common hue is yellow, caused by the presence of trace amounts of nitrogen. It is also important to note that when comparing diamonds, a difference of at least two color grades is usually required before the variation becomes noticeable to the naked eye.

Diamond Cut

The cut of a diamond is one of the most important factors influencing its beauty, brilliance, and overall value. While “cut” is often mistaken for shape, it actually refers to the diamond’s proportions, symmetry, and polish—elements that determine how effectively the stone reflects light back to the eye. A masterfully cut diamond will display extraordinary brilliance, fire, and scintillation, radiating life and vibrancy. By contrast, even a diamond with excellent color or clarity may appear dull if it is poorly cut. Cut quality also affects a diamond’s perceived size. An Ideal Cut diamond is proportioned to maximize light performance and often looks larger than other diamonds of the same carat weight, thanks to its optimal diameter and dimensions.

Ideal Cut Diamonds

An Ideal Cut Diamond is a round brilliant or princess cut diamond crafted to precise proportions and angles, with excellent polish and symmetry. These diamonds are perfectly engineered to refract light, producing unrivaled fire and brilliance that emanates through the table and crown, making them the standard of excellence in diamond cutting.
